City Year - Courture Fellowship

The Courture Fellowship program provides a series of experiences and structured reflections that are designed to expose a group of Yale University undergraduates to key issues in elementary education, both policy and practice, with the goal of creating future educators and engaged citizens. This summer’s focus is on experiential and out-of-school learning. The Fellowship has two components. First, students have a field placement working with young children. There will be a variety of placement settings, including: the New Haven Public Schools, the Peabody Museum, Common Ground Charter School camps, the grassroots nonprofit Solar Youth’s summer program, Squash Haven, New Haven Free Public Library, the Boys and Girls Club, and Breakthrough Collaborative at Hopkins.
