Using the SEA Award for Summer Journalism

The Summer Experience Award (SEA) is a funding opportunity, made available to support undergraduates on financial aid looking to explore an unfunded, or under-funded, summer opportunity with a non-profit. For those SEA eligible students looking to support a summer journalism experience, the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) can prove a great resource for locating and connecting with potentially eligible nonprofit news organizations. These organization will often be happy to discuss a summer engagement that can fulfill the requirements of the SEA funding program.
