OCS is hiring a Grad Student: Law School Personal Statement Reviewer

Position: OCS Law School Personal Statement Reviewer 

Job Description: The Office of Career Strategy is seeking a professional school or PhD student to review law school personal statements for Yale College alumni. The reviewer will work closely with OCS Law School Advisor, Elayne Mazzarella, who will train you on the elements required in law school personal statements and directly connect you with alumni interested in this service. All feedback will be given to alumni via email using tracked changes. Applicants should have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; an ability to read personal statements with an eye towards content, style, and grammar; an ability to engage alumni with enthusiasm, maturity, discretion, and confidence; and be responsible, reliable, and able to work independently.

Job Requirements:  The law statement reviewer can expect to work 4-6 hours/week throughout the semester. They are expected to use their own laptops when reviewing alumni personal statements and will also be required to complete 90-minute training before the beginning of the semester, date TBD.
