
2nd Annual Increasing Human Potential Symposium: Planetary Solutions Driving Sustainability, Hosted by Yale University + Friends of Yale from Industry (FYI)
On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, Yale University and Friends of Yale from Industry (FYI) will host the 2nd Annual Increasing Human Potential Symposium at the Davies Auditorium at 15 Prospect Street, New Haven, Conn. The event will take place from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
The symposium aims to bring together cross-sector leaders and researchers to explore initiatives that catalyze sustainability and increase human potential. The event will feature a plenary session, a panel discussion, student presentations, and a networking reception at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (CITY).
The keynote speakers for the plenary session on “Climate Change – Science, Policy, and Sustainability” include Manish Bapna, President and CEO of Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), James Green, retired NASA Chief Scientist, and Fred Krupp, President of Environmental Defense Fund and Yale Trustee.
The panel discussion on “Inspiring Initiatives Catalyzing Sustainability” will feature representatives from the Bezos Earth Fund and the Three Cairns Group. The discussion will be moderated by Stuart DeCew, Executive Director of Yale Center for Business & the Environment.
The event will conclude with a lightning round of student presentations hosted by Vince Wilczynski, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and a panel discussion with faculty researchers. Cross-sector leaders representing industrial (Schneider Electric), healthcare (Humana), and government (NASA) will also be in attendance for interaction with attendees.
