ADEA Distric 1: Mock Interview Opportunity for Pre-Dental Students

My name is Veronica Yu and I am a first year dental student at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. I am a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows District 1’s Recruitment Committee, which encompasses dental students from all dental schools in the Northeast region, including Boston University, Tufts, UConn, University of New England, and Harvard.

The Recruitment Committee is dedicated towards encouraging pre-dental student engagement and offering resources and guidance pertaining to all matters dental-school related. We plan to conduct our third annual Mock Interview event, virtually, between March 15th and April 5th, 2024, and would like to invite your pre-dental students to participate. Interested pre-dental students will have the opportunity to be interviewed by and receive feedback from current dental students who are members of ADEA District 1. This will include feedback regarding the quality of their answers, the manner in which they communicated, and more. Also, the interviews will be free of charge.

The goal of the Mock Interview is for pre-dental students to gain exposure to how dental school interviews are conducted, the types of questions that can be asked, and more. It also gives students the chance to receive invaluable feedback from current dental students who have experienced the process before! Not only will students learn the basic format of how an interview is conducted, but they will also receive tips on how to clearly communicate in a professional setting, advertise themselves as a qualified prospective candidate, and more. While this event is helpful for all pre-dental students, our goal is to cater this event exclusively for Juniors and Seniors.

If this is something your students will be interested in, please share this form and have them submit it by our registration deadline of Monday, February 26th, 2024. (
