Family Pictures Institute for Inclusive Storytelling

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide fundraising, communication and administrative support for our a) nonprofit community outreach organization Family Pictures Institute for Inclusive Storytelling as well as b) an award-winning film and media production company working on feature length documentaries, shorts and television productions and art installations. We are location in New York city and are seeking someone who will work hybridly – in the office and remotely.

Responsibilities include:
Executive Assistant
-Work closely with the Executive Producer (EP): scheduling, writing, outreach, etc.
-Act as a liaison between the EP and team members; EP and partners/funders
-Support fundraising efforts and campaigns by grant writing and outreach
-Coordinate with partners, funders and the Associate Editor to ensure deliverables and received/sent out in a timely manner
-Create monthly newsletters
-Assist in event planning and management as needed
-Perform minor website maintenance and publish blogs for company sites
-Coordinate with building management for office upkeep

Production Coordination:
-Manage digital content and social media both for the company accounts and for the Executive Producer; work with the Associate Editor
-Conduct research tasks and manage data organization
-Manage the company’s interns
-Support the EP with archival organization, curation and exhibition
-Other duties as assigned

-Organizational and administrative experience
-Excellent communication and writing skills
-Exceptional time-management skills
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Fundraising experience
-Experience with Google Drive application, PowerPoint, Dropbox and Photoshop
-Knowledge of website editing (WordPress, GoDaddy) preferred

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or demonstrated interest in documentary film and visual arts, collaborative storytelling and community engagement.
