Khalifa University is pleased to invite you to participate in the 2025 Young Future Energy Leaders (YFEL) Program. This program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in energy and sustainability.
Established in 2010 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, YFEL provides participants from the UAE and around the world with an unparalleled experience in inspiration and guidance.
YFEL Program is a crucial part of the annual World Future Energy Summit (WFES), held during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) from 14-16 January 2025. During this summit, new YFEL members will interact with global leaders in energy, sustainability, and governance, participating in key discussions about the future of energy and developing sustainable solutions to combat climate change.
Beyond WFES, YFEL provides an extensive calendar of enriching events and workshops throughout the year, including:
− Focused workshops on Future Leadership, Cube Satellite Technology, and Sustainable Robotics.
− Innovative sessions on Energy Harvesting Techniques and Advanced Space Mining Protocols.
− Signature events such as the Annual Conference and the Case Study Competition.
The selection process is highly selective, with the following eligibility criteria:
− Age between 20 to 25 years
− Proof of a Grade Point Average of 3.50 or above on a scale of 4.00, or equivalent
− An undergraduate degree (or pursuing one) / Master’s degree at an accredited academic institution
− A statement reflecting personal and/or academic qualifications for YFEL
− A statement reflecting interest in the renewable energy fields
− Completion of the online application form with all necessary documents attached
− Candidates who meet the criteria will be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.
