Are you a doctoral student or postdoctoral scholar planning to apply to tenure-track faculty positions? Join Yale staff for the Academic Job Search Series to learn about the fundamentals for preparing and conducting a successful job search, especially in a challenging climate.
Our goal is to clarify the process to alleviate some of the anxiety and uncertainty of the academic job search. Yale Offices will cover topics such as positioning yourself in the market, learning about job openings, preparing CVs, cover letters, and other application materials related to teaching and research.
The Academic Job Search is a collaborative effort between the Office of Career Strategy, GSAS Professional Development, Poorvu Center’s Teaching Development and Initiatives and the Graduate Writing Lab, and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.
The Poorvu Center’s Teaching Development and Initiatives team hosts workshops that prepare job candidates to talk about teaching in their application materials and interviews, and they count toward the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) Program as Advanced Teaching Workshops (ATWs).
