The Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship is a year-long leadership development program that trains, inspires, and sustains a network of emerging leaders who are committed to ending hunger, poverty, and inequality in the United States.  For the first half of the fellowship cycle, Emerson Fellows combat hunger, poverty, and inequality at the local, state, and regional level by working at community-based organizations located across the U.S. During the second half of the fellowship cycle, they work with organizations, mostly located in Washington, DC, that work to combat those issues at the national (federal) level.
