Summer Housing Resources – U.S. and International

The following resources by City are compiled annually based on referrals from Yale students and alums.

  1. Check with classmates/friends going to the same area to consider sharing an apartment or subletting.
  2. Colleges may offer residence halls as affordable summer rentals; check websites and contact institutions.
  3. If you look outside university housing, consider arriving before the experience starts to view properties.
  4. Prepare a budget for housing costs. If you plan to share space, discuss financial limitations ahead of time.
  5. Before signing rental or sublet agreements, read all contracts and be clear on the terms.
