Yale in Hollywood x ‘Very’ Distinguished Speaker Series

A collaboration between the Yale in Hollywood Summer Internship program and program partner Tooth Hurty Media, the ‘Very’ Distinguished Speaker Series aims to connect Yale students to industry professionals for frank discussions of the professional realities of the entertainment business, and advice for those interested in breaking in.

Zach Goldbaum is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, producer, director, and correspondent, known for his work at VICE, The Daily Show, and the New York Times.

As host and producer of Noisey, Vice TV’s flagship music series, he interviewed artists like Kendrick Lamar in Compton, Killer Mike and Migos in Atlanta, and Rick Ross and DJ Khaled in Miami.

He’s also made a number of films with the New York Times, including the Emmy-winning “Meet the World’s Most Honorable Bank Robbers” and “Heartache in the Hot Zone”, with Nicholas Kristof.

Zach is an avid podcaster, producing AppleTV+’s award-winning true crime series Tradebom and The Problem with Jon Stewart.
