Internships with State of CT Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch Experiential Learning Programs offer students from high school to law school a variety of meaningful placement opportunities to gain valuable experience as well as develop skills appropriate to their career path.

Positions are available for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Key Dates for Summer 2025
Application opens March 7 and closes March 28
Positions start May 15 and end August 8

Compensation – positions are unpaid but participants can submit for reimbursement for parking and travel expenses. (Position may be SEA eligible for Yale College students)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning or have graduated within 1 year of applying for the internship;
  • be a student in good standing;
  • be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per month (preferably 10 hours per week, two five hour days);
  • have the ability to work with diverse populations;
  • maintain high level of confidentiality;
  • possess excellent written and oral communication skills; and
  • must be willing to travel in state.
