Following the insightful discussion with Dr. Miho Kaneko (PhD ’15, Chemistry) about transitioning from STEM research to patent law, Yale’s Office of Career Strategy (OCS) invites GSAS PhD students to an exclusive on-site visit at Goodwin Procter (Goodwin) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Boston on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
At Goodwin, a leading global law firm specializing in life sciences and technology, participants will:
- Learn about Goodwin’s Science Advisor Program and intellectual property law career paths from Dr. Miho Kaneko
- Participate in a panel discussion with Yale PhD alumni now working in patent law
- Tour the office and network during lunch
At BCG, a top management consulting firm, attendees will:
- Discover the Advanced Degree Consultant (ADC) Program through perspectives from PhD-trained consultants
- Gain insights from a panel of ADC hires about transitioning into consulting
- Explore the Boston office and ask consulting career-related questions
This is a unique opportunity to engage with employers and Yale alumni who have successfully built careers at the intersection of science, law, and consulting. Interested in attending? Please register by April 2 (11:55 PM ET) on Yale Connect here.
