Clinical Medical Assistant Gap Opportunity in New York City

This is a clinical mentorship gap opportunity being offered in a private ophthalmology practice on the Upper East Side of New York City. Our practice specializes in Laser Vision Correction surgery, the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, Meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, ocular rosacea, environmental allergies, and Demodex. Our practice is progressive and cutting-edge, using state-of-the-art technology.

This position focuses on direct patient care providing unparalleled hands-on medical experience. Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking patient histories, assisting physician/surgeon with patient examinations and procedures, documenting medical encounters/scribing, performing diagnostic tests, educating patients, preparing charts, amongst other tasks. Must be a team player and willing to perform other functions as needed.

The ideal candidate is smart, intuitive, highly motivated, high energy, mature, professional, responsible and dependable, with an abundance of positive energy.

Our work environment is beautiful with fabulous staff and wonderful patients. Dr. Muller is a three-time board certified Cornell, Yale and Harvard educated and trained physician and surgeon.

This invaluable clinical gap experience is the perfect opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing careers in the healthcare/medical field. This is also a mentorship/sponsorship program; Dr. Muller will support, advise, promote, and advocate for you as she guides and helps you navigate your medical school application process.

This is a paid opportunity with a starting salary of $ 37,500.00/year (which increases over time), PLUS a year-end bonus, and a significant graduation gift upon completion of our two-year program.
