The Yale President’s Public Service Fellowship, established in 1994, connects Yale students with the New Haven community by funding full-time summer placements at local nonprofit organizations and city agencies. These fellowships must serve as the student’s primary summer commitment.
Fellows contribute to projects that have a direct impact on New Haven residents, gaining valuable insight into meaningful community engagement while developing essential professional skills.
Eligibility is limited to current Yale undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students who are not in their final year of study (graduating seniors are not eligible) and who remain in good academic standing with the University.
For Summer 2026, fellowship placements may occur during any consecutive eight-week period between May 26 and August 7, 2026. Please note that housing is not provided. Click here for more information and on how to apply.
