Yale in Hollywood partner: Internship w/ Film/TV Writer & Creator, Aaron Cooley

Aaron Cooley ’98, an accomplished Film/TV writer and creator, is seeking a motivated part-time intern with a passion for pursuing a career in film and television. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a creative professional in the film and television industry, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship. The role is fully remote and unpaid, but could transition into a full-time paid position when a project is greenlit to series or production. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Run slide decks during pitches to studios and networks
  • Build/design pitch decks and visuals for treatments/proposals
  • Screenplay reading & coverage, incl. notes on the company’s current projects
  • Support with research documents for historical drama projects
  • Note-taking during meetings
  • Assist with scheduling, managing correspondence, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Skills/Requirements

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Dropbox, Zoom, and AI platforms.
  • Graphic design skills in PowerPoint, Canva, or Adobe Suite
  • Schedule varies, but the ideal candidate has the flexibility to join meetings that may be called between 10am-6pm PT
