McKinsey, Bain, and BCG Application Deadlines for 2027 Summer and Full-Time Roles

Application deadlines for McKinsey, Bain, and BCG begin as early as March 29. To keep up with the application process, sign up for upcoming events, and submit your application, please visit each firm’s website.

How can I learn more about consulting?

  • CaseCoach – The populations OCS serves (Yale College, GSAS and Postdocs) have access to CaseCoach, an interactive web application built by experts from McKinsey, BCG, and Bain. CaseCoach has several resources to get you started.
    • Interview Prep Section of CaseCoach: includes 5 online courses that you can take to learn everything from Consulting Recruitment Essentials, the Case Interview, Case Math, Fit Interview and Personal Experience Interview.
    • Resources Section of CaseCoach: includes hundreds of articles organized by the topics of Careers, Applications, Interview Tips and Firms.
  • Management Consulting and the Interview Process Guide includes an introduction to consulting, examples of cases, two common case interview methods, and tips for acing the case interview.  
  • Forage offers short, self-paced, virtual work experiences designed and delivered by leading companies, including consulting firms. Virtual work experiences let you take on the practical tasks of a consultant so that you can get a feel for what it’s like to work in consulting.

How can I prepare my application materials?

  • Visit the OCS website for resume resources and cover letter tips.
  • Use Big Interview torun your draft resume through an AI review and upload a specific job description to see how well your resume aligns with that role.
  • Watch the CaseCoach Resume Course – select Applications – Resume Course for Students. This also includes a module on the cover letter.

How can I prepare for case interviews?

  • CaseCoach provides guidance on how to approach case problems, exercises to hone your case skills, and access to live partners to practice your skills. Go to Interview Prep – Case Practice to select from 100+ cases that you can filter by type, difficulty, function, sector, stretch area, and if the case includes a video. Go to Interview Prep – Drills to practice key case-solving skills on your own and make progress where needed.
