Gustavo Reis da Silva Louro

Gustavo Reis Louro is 4th year graduate student in the department of Spanish and Portuguese, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He joined the OCS team in the fall of 2020 where he’s been working with the organization of the annual 3 Minute Thesis competition, making sure every little need of the participants and everyone involved is met.

Besides his work with OCS, Gustavo, as a graduate student, participates in teaching at Yale, both as TA and a language instructor, a role he enjoys immensely, as it gives him a chance to work with the undergrads.

Gustavo also loves to learn languages and has studied, among others, French, German, Latin, Greek, Russian and most recently Hebrew. When he’s not reading, he can probably be found at New Haven’s best pizza spots.
