The On-Campus Recruiting program (OCR) enables students to interview with a select number of organizations that participate in the program. Students in Yale College, the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and postdocs are eligible to participate and will apply through Yale Career Link.

Organizations participating in the OCR program will conduct interviews both in-person and virtually.

  • To search for OCR jobs in Yale Career Link go to Jobs/Show Me/On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) Positions Only.  Application deadlines for both internships and full-time opportunities begin in early September.  Each job description will include details on the opportunity and on how and when to apply.

Employers participating in the OCR program, as well as many other employers seeking to recruit Yale talent, will attend the OCS industry specific networking events or host individual employer events either in New Haven or virtually.  Check Yale Career Link for details on upcoming employer events listed on this page and to register to attend.

Students should regularly check both OCR and non-OCR job and internship postings in Yale Career Link.

Keep in mind that OCR is a recruiting format that works for a small group of employers that can hire months in advance. Most Yale students find opportunities through other methods supported by OCS. For details on how Yale students find employment, visit Statistics & Reports.

Interviewing Cancellation Policies

  • Before signing up for an interview, check your schedule carefully to avoid conflicts.

  • If there is an emergency after the cancellation period, contact OCS directly at careerstrategy@yale.edu.
  • Students should not miss class for interviews. Employers are asked to accommodate candidates’ class conflicts.
  • Students should not cancel first-round interviews after the cancellation period to attend a second-round interview.
  • Students who miss an interview or cancel outside the cancellation period may receive a warning letter. A second offense may result in the termination of OCR privileges.

Job and Internship Offer Guidelines

Once you have made your decision, notify the employer by phone and follow-up with an acceptance letter. Upon acceptance, you have a professional obligation to join that employer.
