On this page are useful resources to help you craft, record, and edit podcasts. Whether you are a novice or have some experience with podcasting, Â follow the modules sequentially with your team. There are group activities that you will do with your team that will help propel your projects forward.
Before You Begin:
Experimenting with essentials even before you start working through the modules will help you to begin learning about the podcasts on the front foot. We list below a few steps we encourage you to take before the start of the first module.
- Start listening to podcasts about communicating academic work. Make a list of your favorite episodes and reasons why you like them so much.
- Download music mixing and editing software and begin to learn how to use it. We recommend Adobe Audition which is free for Yale students. Another good option is Audacity which is free for everyone.
- Start thinking about how to incorporate different music in your episodes. Find websites which offer music for podcasts.
