A nonprofit organization’s Board of Directors is the governing body of the institution. The responsibilities of the board include discussing and voting on the highest priority issues, setting organizational policies, and evaluating the Executive Director. Board members are not required to know everything about the management of the Symphony, but they are expected to act in the best interests of the organization.
