Opportunities to Create a Presence of Your Organization on Campus

Employers are invited to join us for the following Office of Career Strategy-coordinated events and programs. These are excellent opportunities to create a presence for your organization on campus and engage with students in Yale College, the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the postdoctoral associates. Please contact a member of the OCS Employer Relations team to discuss a customized recruiting strategy for your organization.

Build Your Brand on Campus

  • Resume Criti​ques and Mock Interviews: Engage with Yale students during one-on-one resume critiques and mock interviews. These programs take place during the first few weeks of September and during mid-January. 
  • Coffee Chats/Office Hours: Engage in informal small group or one-on-one interactions with Yale students.
  • Information Sessions/Tech Talks: Host an information session or tech talk to meet with Yale students, as well as discuss your organizations initiatives and opportunities. These events can be held on-campus or virtually. These events will be advertised to students through the Yale Career Link system and the Office of Career Strategy weekly newsletter. 
  • Job S​hadowing/Yale Treks: Host a Yale student at your site for a day, or a few days, of job shadowing and/or career related activities. Hosts may choose to arrange career related activities such as; informational discussions and panels, informational interviews with colleagues and site tours.  Hosting a Yale Trek is a great way to showcase your organization, and get to know current Yale students!  This program will take place during spring break (mid-March).   • Connect with Student Organizations: Communicate with targeted groups of students by partnering with Yale’s student organizations.

On-Campus Recruiting

Attend an Industry Event at Yale 

In lieu of one large career fair, the Office of Career Strategy hosts various industry-specific networking and recruiting events throughout the year. The majority of these Industry Events take place during the fall semester. The below list includes events for the fall 2018 semester. Registration for these events will start in late spring 2018. Employers are invited to participate in an interview day held during February in Washington, DC. DC IMPACTlink gives employers the opportunity to meet, interview and hire top candidates from Yale University, Brown University, Duke University, Swarthmore College and the University of Virginia in one convenient location.  Government, Media, Nonprofit, Public Policy and Think-Tank organizations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are encouraged to attend.  Contact us at careerstrategy@yale.edu for more information.
