We all have to deal with difficult conversations at some point in our lives. Whether that is with an advisor that is not giving you the attention you need, a colleague who you said (or did) something inappropriate, or a friend who is being a real jerk, all of us will experience the awkwardness and discomfort of difficult conversations at some point. Not only is it an important skill to learn from a professional perspective, but it is also an important skill to learn for your own mental health.
During this panel discussion, we will have the opportunity to hear from people who have entered into many tough conversations, be that about race and gender equality, or about poor performance from a coworker, this group has seen it all. Come hear how they would approach various situations and what skills they find to be most useful to lean on when having one of these challenging conversations. There will also be plenty of time for you to ask your questions.
