“Yale Career Fireside Chats – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion”

This event is the ninth in a series of fireside chats covering career-related issues. Unlike the “Yale Career Panels: A Candid View of Professions” series that focuses on specific professions, this series is comprised of one hour conversations with panelists about career related topics.

We are pleased to have two expert panelists who have extensive personal and professional experience around the issue of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Diane T. Ashley has had a long career at institutions such as the Federal Reserve and Citibank focused on this issue. Carmelyn P. Malalis is the Chair and Commissioner of the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

The format will be a streaming video fireside chat, followed by Q&A from the audience. At the end of the one hour panel, you will be able to meet virtually with the panelists and the other attendees. We will be using Airmeet, a technology platform that will allow you to sit at tables with the panelists and others and move from table to table to meet others and share personal diversity, equity and inclusion challenges.
