2021 Windham-Campbell Prizes Virtual Festival: Kate Briggs

The Windham-Campbell Prizes Virtual Festival is an innovative salon series showcasing the creativity of the eight recipients of the 2021 Windham-Campbell Prizes. Each week’s episode will highlight one writer in performances specially curated to their interests and abilities. They will feature theater, music, food, drawing, architecture, translation, postcards, and more! Following each episode, authors will join audience members in a live question-and-answer session. Those in attendance will also have access to a live chat, and loads of on-demand content, including a gallery of objects from Yale’s art galleries and library collections.

Pushing at the formal boundaries of the literary essay in witty, speculative prose, Kate Briggs explores the intricacies of translation and narrative structure in revelatory, provocative ways.
