DESCRIPTION:
Every other year, NYU’s Grossman School of Medicine organizes What Can You Be with a PhD?, the largest career symposium in the country, and this year is going to be amazing!
This symposium is a unique opportunity for STEM graduate students and postdocs to learn about the breadth of career paths for doctorates and a fantastic place to network with the next generation of scientists. We have more than 40 sessions scheduled over two days, Saturday November 20 and Sunday November 21, and this year is completely virtual and hosted on the Whova platform.
The event runs Saturday from 10:00am-6:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-4:30pm, and you can find out more info about the schedule at http://whatcanyoubewithaphd.com/
Our Keynote Speaker on Saturday will be Dr. Victor Torres, CV Starr Professor of Microbiology and a 2021 MacArthur Fellow.
Registration is $10 per person and includes admission on both days. All sessions will be recorded (with permission of all panelists), so you can view any you missed later. It’s the best deal in the city, and you get the chance to meet over 2000 of your peers to network with and more than 120 speakers to hear from!
WCUB is co-sponsored by 15 other schools in the area, including Yale. Yale has been allocated a limited number of slots. Sign up early to ensure a spot!
To register, follow this link http://whatcanyoubewithaphd.com/ and use the code yale2021 to check out and pay. Be sure to use your school email address.
Speakers are being added daily, so keep checking in to the website. The Whova version of the event will be released in early November, but make sure you login with the same email you use to register.
