[COMPANY DESCRIPTION]
Accel Education is the oldest and leading education-consulting firm that specializes in providing comprehensive advisory and academic services in South Korea. We work with students preparing for or currently studying in the U.S. to explore and develop their interests. We also offer academic services to help students develop a strong foundation offering courses including literature, writing, and secondary school subject courses including AP and IB levels.

[COVID-19 TESTING & MANDATORY QUARANTINE]
Currently, all foreigners entering South Korea are subject to COVID-19 testing upon arrival and serve 14-day quarantine at the government-designated facilities (hotels and lodging). The company shall pay for all associated fees.

[AVAILABLE POSITION]
We are looking for the following positions:

1) Education Consultant & Instructor
Term: Year-round Full-Time
Details: This is a unique position that allows you to work with both the Advisory Service & Academic Service Division of the company. You’ll be a part of consulting team to help plan and lead the long-term growth of our students including college counseling and professional development. During the course of employment, you’ll also be involved with teaching courses based on the subject of your interest and background.
Special Benefits: The company provides up to 2 months paid leave of absence to travel or visit families back home.
Eligibility: The year-round position is available to recent graduates or graduating seniors ONLY.

2) Semester -OR- Summer Paid-Internship
A) Summer Term: 3 months including 14-day quarantine period
B) Semester Term: 1st week of June 2021~3rd week of January 2022
*Dates include orientation and training
Eligibility: Open to outstanding Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and recent graduates

[RESPONSIBILITIES]
Education Consultant & Instructor:
-Work closely with students to assist in exploring their interests and maximizing opportunities in school
-Assist student coordinate and lead independent academic research
-Facilitate students with developing and coordinating initiatives such as community service projects to enhance leadership and project management skills
-Provide college admissions consulting services and assist admissions preparation
-Work closely with the management to develop and refine curriculum and program dealing with academic writing and literature
-Effectively prepare and teach selected courses offered by the company:
* English literature & writing (background in creative writing is a big plus)
* U.S./ World/ European History up to AP & IB Level
* Math courses up to Multivariable Calculus
* Macro & Micro Economics/ Psychology up to AP & IB Level
* Spanish/ Chinese/ French up to AP & IB Level
* Chemistry/ Physics/ Comp Sci/ Biology up to AP & IB Level

Internship:
-Work with Senior Consultants to assist responsibilities outlined above
-Provide academic assistance (based on your field of expertise) to students

[STARTING DATE]
Starting date shall be the 1st Week of June 2021. However, the company shall work to accommodate flexibility to meet the commencement of graduating seniors. There will be orientation and training.

[QUALIFICATIONS]
– Enjoys teaching and working with young students, serving as a mentor role
– Highly motivated, positive, responsible, and a team player
– Analytical and creative thinking
– Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a big plus but is not required
– The positions are open to all majors but must have strong reading and writing backgrounds

[COMPENSATION]
For Full-Time Education Consultant:
– Highly Competitive salary (equivalent to consulting industry or higher)
– Up to 2-month paid vacation to visit home

The Office of Career Strategy works with students and alums of Yale College and Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences as well as Yale postdoctoral scholars from all disciplines. The Office of Career Strategy advisors help students, alums, and postdocs to clarify career aspirations, identify opportunities, and offer support at every stage of career development.
