Founded in 1955, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) is one of the nation’s premier institutions for medical education, basic research and clinical investigation. A full-time faculty of some 2,000 conducts research, teaches, and delivers health care in every major biomedical specialty. The Psychiatry Research Institute at Montefiore Einstein (PRIME) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities of the PRIME research studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, neuroscience, or a related field, broad familiarity with in performing neuroimaging and neuropsychological studies, and prior experience with grant submissions, literature reviews and analyses, and program management and coordination. They will be responsible for scheduling, management, subject recruitment, and administrative coordination of several studies investigating adolescent psychopathology using neuroimaging, blood analysis, and clinical study methodologies. This position takes direction from the Principal Investigator, Dr. Vilma Gabbay, and post-doctoral fellows to assist in facilitation of laboratory activities and implementation of research protocols. Candidates should be highly collegial, independent, and motivated.
The person will:
Assist PI with grant writing and management
Assist PI with editing research articles and preparing poster presentations
Perform literature searches
Create and manage databases and prepare data for analysis
Create and organize study binders
Collect data including parent, teacher and clinician forms
Order study supplies
Submit annual protocol summary forms and consent forms to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The individual will be overseeing all study protocols. This position reports directly to the Director of PRIME.
