Aux is serious about employing machine learning in media curation with a vision and plan to reimagine the future of the human experience within media. Machine Learning specifically is the backbone of our further vision.
We are hiring Research Scientists to help us solve fundamental problems in media curation, understanding media files on a deeply computational level, and human computer interaction in general with respect to media. Our scientists also work with our engineering team transitioning mature technology into our production environment.
This position requires a high functioning person who can self-organize within an agile structure, coordinate directly with product definition team, and is also curious to expand their knowledge cross-functionally. World class organization, problem solving, and communication skills are essential not to mention attention-to-detail. However, most importantly we are looking for eager minds who are not only prepared, but excited to bring their best effort to our expanding team on a daily basis.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Minimum of a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical fields. Several years of additional work experience preferred.
Foundation in Computer Science with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Expertise in one or more of Deep Learning, Deep Reinforcement Learning, or Computer Vision in media.
Expertise in one or more of Python, C++, or Java.
Experience with cloud-based development environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google. Experience with micro-service creation is a plus.
Industry or research experience in data analytics, machine learning, and software development.
Personal Skills required:
Problem solving skills. Hands-on approach and can-do attitude.
Ability to take ownership of and lead research efforts.
Team player with the ability to work in a close-knit, fast-paced startup environment.
