For this position, we are looking for highly skilled software engineers who are adept at developing frontend user experiences and backend API experiences in our cloud native architecture. You will be responsible for furthering and supporting our existing iOS/Android framework while staying aligned with our overall future product vision.
This position requires a high functioning person who can self-organize within an agile structure, coordinate directly with product definition team, and is also curious to expand their knowledge cross-functionally. World class organization, problem solving, and communication skills are essential not to mention attention-to-detail. However, most importantly we are looking for eager minds who are not only prepared, but excited to bring their best effort to our expanding team on a daily basis.
Design, build and support frontend iOS/Android interactions.
Design, build and support backend API interactions utilizing streaming service APIs, Firebase, and WebSocket interfaces as appropriate.
Ability to implement ML algorithms as cloud functions throughout our user experience.
Design and build maintainable code that emits observability data to enable mobile application reliability engineering.
Design and build for testability.
Ensure responsiveness of applications.
Strike the right balance to avoid premature optimization while designing for scale.
Collaborate directly with product definition and marketing teams.
Work closely with our product ideation team to turn ideas into functional code.
Carry a project iteratively from concept to finished maintainable product.
Stay up to date with emerging techniques, patterns and technologies.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as Swift and Java.
Preferably some experience dealing with streaming service APIs (Spotify API, Apple Music API, etc.)
Proficiency with server-side languages such as Node.js, Dart, Python and Ruby.
