The Radiology AI lab in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and the computer science department at Brown University are looking for a full-time research assistant to work on projects related to AI and medical imaging. The position is for a one-year commitment with anticipated salary between $30,000 and $40,000. The ideal candidate would be someone who graduated from college and wants to take a gap year while applying to medical school. Students with computer science or engineering or math background and related research experience are preferred. We will also consider strong candidates who can commit part-time with proportional pay. Completely remote work is a possibility. The lab is based in the Advanced Imaging lab at Rhode Island Hospital (https://sites.brown.edu/airadiology/people/) with a focus on AI algorithm development and its application to medical imaging. The student will have the opportunity to lead independent projects. Publications (including first-author) in high impact journals are expected.
