We are pleased to announce the Paralegal Law School Bonus Program, which will provide up to $45,000 of bonus opportunity for entry level, law school-bound employees who successfully complete two years of paralegal service at the Firm, and who ultimately return to the Firm as an associate. At the successful completion of two years of paralegal employment, a law school-bound paralegal who receives an offer to return to the Firm as a 1L summer associate will receive a $15,000 bonus to be used toward the cost of law school. The second bonus of $15,000 toward the cost of law school will be awarded if the program participant successfully completes both 1L and 2L summer associateships with the Firm, and the participant receives and accepts an offer to return to the Firm after graduation as an associate. After graduation from law school, the Firm will pay a final $15,000 bonus to participants, in advance of their start as an associate. Full program details will be provided upon request.
The Firm is currently recruiting for a full-time, entry-level paralegal who will be eligible for the Paralegal Law School Bonus Program, resident in the Washington, D.C. office. The position will start out as Remote, with an expected Return to Office after Labor Day.
Under the direction of the Paralegal Supervisor, the paralegal is responsible for organizing and maintaining client files, correspondence, and legal documents, as well as assisting with document collection, organization, analysis, and production. The paralegal is also responsible for preparing and disseminating document compilations, managing case-document databases, conducting legal research, and handling all aspects of routine case management. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail, and strong computer skills. The ideal candidate possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent time management and organizational skills. Candidates must be capable of juggling multiple assignments. Additionally, the ideal candidate will produce consistent, high quality work, with minimal supervision.
All applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with an expected graduation date of Spring 2021. Candidates must show consistent excellence throughout their undergraduate education, as illustrated in overall GPA. Candidates must have flexibility to work additional hours, possibly including weekends and/or holidays, when needed. Starting base salary for this position is $44,000 plus overtime as required, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
