We are seeking anFinancial Analyst, Inventory Accountingfor our Corporate site to be located remotely / at our corporate office inWilmington, MA.TheFinancial Analyst, Inventory Accounting will be responsible for assisting and preparing inventory related journal entries, process inventory transactions, inventory analysis, and aid in continuous improvement.
The following areresponsibilitiesrelated to theFinancial Analyst, Inventory Accounting:
Support monthly and quarterly close processes for certain business units (e.g. inventory reserves, process variances, reconcile reports)
Analyze inventory activity by location and generate accruals as needed.
Prepare related journal entries for necessary adjustments.
Gather and consolidate monthly inventory data.
Assist in the preparation of various inventory analyses as needed.
Assist in supporting SOX inventory controls and requirements.
Assist senior team members in conducting, managing, and reconciling annual physical inventory counts.
Assist in ensuring compliance with all Charles River inventory policies.
Perform all other related duties and or special projects as assigned.
The following areminimum requirementsrelated to theFinancial Analyst, Inventory Accountingposition:
Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting.
One (1) year or more experience working in accounting/analyst positions; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific experience.
5% travel may be needed for year-end audit
The following arepreferred qualificationsrelated to theFinancial Analyst, Inventory Accounting position:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance/Accounting
Prior ERP system experience
Prior SAP experience
