Eastlink Capital is an emerging VC investment firm which focuses on enterprise cloud opportunities (stage agnostic) mostly in North America but selectively in Asia particularly China.  Investment Analyst at Eastlink Capital will be involved in very aspects of investments as a member of the team.
 
The Analyst reports to partners at the firm and will be under the apprenticeship of the partners. The role involves mainly in supporting partners in the following areas:
-Research and Due Diligence on potential investment opportunities in the enterprise cloud (SaaS and Data/AI) sectors
-Write investment memos
-Analytical support including comparable valuation analysis and industry research on targeted sectors
-Assist with partner on other tasks including sourcing, due diligence, execution of investment transactions, portfolio assistance and monitoring, attending demo days and industry conferences, fund raising for future fund.
–Some administration work including assisting accounting/auditing and learn to use QuickBooks.
-Position is Partner tracked.  Firm’s policy has a strong bias to promote within.  Successful analyst will go on to Top 7 business school and come back to our firm or become an associate/principle on way to be considered a partner.   
 
Desired Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor degree or a graduate degree in business, economics, or, STEM from a top 25 institution. BA degree in liberal arts will also be considered but an appetite for technology, particularly Internet/software preferred.
 
Work experience and skills:
– Relevant experience in technology or investment banking/consulting helpful, but not required.
– Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
-Strong willingness to learn and work ethics/grit/persistence
– Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and some financial model experience such as Comparable Analysis.   
– Sharp intellect, strong willingness to learn, good work ethics, flexibility, ability to function with minimum supervision, taking initiative and high integrity.
– Strong interests in the VC industry and is willing to work hard to learn and open to be coached
– Proficiency in oral and written Chinese (Mandarin) required, due to some potential cross border investments
 
Location: Menlo Park, California
Length of employment: Minimum commitment of 2 years on the job
Compensation: Negotiable, depending on experience
Work Visa:  Can sponsor OPT up to 3 years.  
Start Date: As soon as possible

The Office of Career Strategy works with students and alums of Yale College and Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences as well as Yale postdoctoral scholars from all disciplines.
