FHI 360 is looking for a Research Intern for the Research and Evaluation Department of the Global Education, Employment and Engagement Business Unit. This is a part-time internship (number of hours to be negotiated and full-time needs will be considered). The internship will last 3 months with a possible extension to 6 months.
The tasks will include the following, but not be limited to:
Contribute to research studies on early childhood development policy implementation, including but not limited to conducting literature reviews, providing data collection support and conducting data analysis.
Carry out web-based data collection from a variety of international and national data sources, surveys, and technical literature, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
Under the supervision of a research scientist, carry out qualitative coding and quantitative analysis of the data collected from surveys, literature, and interviews
Support other research studies conducted by the Research and Evaluation Department as needed
Bachelor’s degree and/or current Masters or doctoral student in Global Health, Education, International Development or a related field is preferred.
Experience in research and qualitative data analysis
French or Spanish language proficiency desirable, other languages a plus
Ability to work independently as well as on a team, demonstrated communication skills.
Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research.
Proficiency with Stata. Experience in cleaning data and merging multiple datasets is highly desirable.
