What you’ll be able to do:
The Plant IT Engineer requires strong technical and problem-solving skills. The Plant IT Engineer has the responsibility of implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT applications in the plant to ensure maximum contributions to productivity, quality and responsiveness. The position offers an excellent opportunity for the candidate to apply their IT skills to manufacturing and to acquire manufacturing experience that will enhance long term career growth.
Work flexible hours in support of a single shift operation.
Provide technical support for Plant Floor IT systems with its integrated infrastructure.
Perform implementation and 1 st level support of mission critical plant applications. This includes a functional knowledge of all plant applications used by local plants (systems’ training will be provided), ability to troubleshoot system issues, manage and/or configure applications. This includes but is not limited to FIS, QLS-CM, QTS, QWX, PDS, LMA, OBL, QDAS, FirstPage, etc.
Handle effective communication and coordination of events during handling incidents for any major systems/network outages.
The minimum requirements we seek:
One or more years of experience implementing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting IT applications
One or more years of professional experience in a corporate environment
Our preferred requirements:
Experience with office automation, Windows, PCs and printers
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Ability to work well with diverse, cross functional teams under stressful circumstances
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with IT project manager Microsoft Office tools
Expertise in identifying, investigating and solving problems without supervision
Experience with server administration – Windows or Linux
Plant floor automation experience (e.g., control systems, PLC’s, etc.)
Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, including basic troubleshooting and installation
