Federico Solmi a Multi-disciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, I am looking for highly motivated candidates for a painting internship for my Upstate NY summer studio, located in the Finger Lakes region for the month of July – August 2023. I am seeking candidates determined to make a career in the arts, with advanced painting and drawings skills, comfortable of drawing and painting from a reference with ink and acrylics. Candidates will work alongside the Artist. My work consists mainly of video animations, VR Experience, Drawing, and Painting. Federico Solmi is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY, Awarded with the John Simon Guggenheim Fellow, Video & Audio – 2009, and Yale School of Art Guest Critic – 2022, Solmi is a former Yale School of Art, Visiting Professor – 2016, 2017, 2019, Yale School of Drama, Visiting Professor – 2018 My work was included at the 100 years anniversary exhibition of The Phillips Collection, Seeing Differently, and at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery’s traveling exhibition, Outwin 2019: American Portraiture Today. My work was exhibited at the inaugural exhibition of the Ocean Flower Museum Island in Hainan Province, Danzhou, China. “Joie De Vivre” a survey exhibition of Solmi’s work is currently on view at the Morris Museum, in Morristown, New Jersey. Federico Solmi is working on his upcoming solo exhibitions at The Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University (2024.
