Job Description OVERVIEW This individual will collaborate with all Global Security teams to understand intelligence requirements and present key insights and support to stakeholders. This will be accomplished through all source collection and analysis, resulting in actionable input and products relevant to security threats that have the potential to adversely affect General Mills. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Monitoring Monitor global geopolitical events that may impact international travel, company events, and/or operations, and provide periodic and timely information Identify geopolitical trends and notify stakeholders of potential threats in a timely manner Monitor and respond to alerts from third-party vendors (e.g. weather, threat intel) and action accordingly Maintain awareness of issues that could affect business operations or the security of personnel and assets (e.g. terrorism, violent crime, extreme weather and natural disasters, travel issues, criminal trends, civil unrest, workplace violence) Analysis Work closely with key stakeholders across Global Security to ensure threat intelligence analysis and products are mapped to prioritized company assets and risks Leverage consumer, market, competitive, and industry information to develop and maintain intelligence about key and emerging trends Assist with investigations, providing valuable open source data and research Maintain General Mills’ high-risk travel program, identify changes in risk ratings, provide threat briefings to travelers Provide regional threat assessments to Business Security Managers, leadership, and other relevant stakeholders Communication Create content and produce intelligence reports and deliverables using a variety of internal and external sources for different teams Rapidly communicate emerging incidents and crises Deliver briefings tailored to key stakeholders Regularly meet with business security managers to discuss relevant threats and requirements Partnerships and Benchmarking Enable other teams within Global Security with the tools and information needed to support investigations, events, and incidents Develop and maintain professional relationships with external peers Stay current with trends, analytical techniques, tools, and tradecraft MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BA or BS degree in Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field Minimum 2 years in roles with relevant or similar responsibilities Intelligence experience in either the private or public sector Demonstrated ability to get things done both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Able to independently drive structure out of ambiguity, connect dots across disparate insights, and structure synthesized output Able to communicate intelligence and analysis of security threats effectively in various forms with individuals at all levels of the organization Able to develop specific expertise, discern patterns of complex threat actor behavior, and communicate an understanding of current and developing security threats Able to synthesize and clearly communicate complex findings to focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities Able to translate security and geopolitical risks into insights for key stakeholders Able to work in an ambiguous environment and operate independently PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and conceptual problem-solving skills Innate curiosity and desire to learn with a strong inclination to drive for results in ambiguous spaces Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, with ability to effectively present to a wide range of audiences Self-starter, proactive, demonstrated self and team motivator COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
