Overview of Glenmede’s Summer Intern Program:
Glenmede will again sponsor its annual summer internship program and seeks to hire approximately 15 – 20 students in 2022. Participants will have the opportunity for personal and professional development while gaining insight into future career opportunities within our industry and in our firm. We are anticipating our 2022 summer program to be in person. Our summer intern program will run from June 1, 2022 – August 5, 2022.

Applications for our 2022 Summer Internship Program will be accepted from August 23, 2021-September 3, 2021.
Interviews for Premier Partners will begin on August 30, 2021-September 17, 2021, with offers being extended from September 20, 2021-September 24, 2021.
All other interviews will begin on September 20, 2021-October 1, 2021, with offers being extended on a rolling basis through the fall until all internships are filled.
Most internships will be in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters with limited placements in our regional offices (Greenville, DE; Princeton, NJ; Morristown, NJ; Beachwood, OH; and New York, NY).
Roles and responsibilities will vary based on the department, with all interns expected to support a wide range of activities, acting, and performing professionally.
As an intern, you’ll gain exposure to the wealth and investment management businesses with a deeper level of experience in a particular area of focus. We work collaboratively, and your role will be “hands-on,” working alongside managers and specialists of all career levels.
Internship opportunities are available across the organization and could include assignments in one of the listed departments (see descriptions below):
Business Assurance (law students preferred – Philadelphia)
The Business Assurance team provides an independent, objective, and free evaluation of management activities. They provide accurate and current information to the stakeholders about Glenmede’s policies and operations’ efficiency and effectiveness and its compliance with the statutory obligations.
Endowments and Foundations (Philadelphia)
Glenmede’s dedicated Endowment and Foundation team partners with more than 250 endowments, foundations, and nonprofit organizations. The team provides comprehensive investment management, advisory, and administrative services to our nonprofit partners. Their high level of client service can include grants management support and tailored advice, education, and administrative resources.
Fiduciary Practice (law students only – Philadelphia)
The Fiduciary Practices team specializes in complex fiduciary matters, estate and complex trust administration, death tax preparation, and oversight of fiduciary practice at Glenmede.
Investment Strategy (Philadelphia)
The Investment Strategy team is responsible for formulating investment policy and communicate that policy internally and externally. In addition, the team develops asset allocations that provide a risk/reward advantage for Glenmede’s clients. They utilize proprietary models and collaboration with internal experts.
Portfolio Management (Philadelphia, New York, Princeton, Cleveland, Greenville)
Portfolio Managers work closely with clients to develop an Investment Policy Statement, identify an asset allocation, and review and define the permissible asset classes and sub-asset classes with minimum, maximum and long-term weightings. The portfolio management team remains responsible for the ongoing active management of client portfolios.
Sustainable and Impact Investing (Philadelphia)
The Sustainable and Impact Investing group is responsible for leading and overseeing sustainable and impact investing strategies, products, and resources for the firm. In addition, the team identifies, diligences, and approves impact-oriented public and private market strategies, leads the development of thought leadership around critical trends, and develops impact measurement tools.
Wealth Advisory (Philadelphia, Princeton, Cleveland, Greenville)
Our Wealth Advisors offer comprehensive services tailored to meet the needs of each client, including expertise on family governance and educational programs, philanthropic guidance, fiduciary services, and administrative services.
· Must be enrolled at an accredited 4-year college or university, law school or graduate school. We accept varying majors.
· The Fiduciary Practice internship requires a law student.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship, for the internship duration.
· Must demonstrate an ability for problem-solving.
· Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
· Must demonstrate academic excellence and be interested to learn more about a career in investment/wealth management.
