Global Strays is an international animal welfare organization looking for a social media graphics/visually skilled intern during the summer, Monday-Friday; responsibilities will include photo/video editing, creating infographics and IG stories, subtitling, etc. The president is highly involved, but most assignments will be completed in collaboration with the Social Media Team. This position is remote and will require Zoom, a quality cell phone, and preferably an iPad.
-3 hours a day, Mon-Fri for a minimum of 3 months (May-Aug depending on applicants schedule);
-Researching and creating content for a variety of animal welfare topics;
-Photo editing with the ColorStory app;
-Creation of infographics on Canva;
-Subtitling videos on Kapwing.
– Must have Social Media experience especially with graphic design and infographics;
– Must possess creativity and be visually skilled;
– Must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
-Knowledge of/strong interest in animal welfare especially dogs, cats and horses;
– Strong writing skills that succinctly deliver the intended message;
-Knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but not required.
We provide training in photo editing and subtitling apps and canva but would prefer someone who has prior knowledge of photography and photo editing and must have graphic & infographic experience with examples.
