Golder has a new opportunity for a Geologist to join our team in a full-time position at our Round Rock, TX office. In this role you will participate in managing office and field-based tasks, performing investigations and preparing technical reports. The position will entail working with upper-level managers to complete engaging projects.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Performing field-based tasks such as multi-media sampling, soil boring and monitoring well installations, lithologic logging, and aquifer testing
Collecting and managing field and analytical data from investigations and interpreting hydrogeological information and developing conceptual site models (CSMs) for assessment and remediation projects
Writing technical reports
Coordinating with contractors (e.g., drillers and analytical laboratories) to support project-specific objectives
Communicating with Project Managers, team members and clients
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
Ability for extended local, national, and/or international overnight travel and fieldwork in various climates and terrains
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience with implementation of assessment, investigation, remediation and monitoring tasks related to environmental projects
Completed OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training
