GSAS New Student Communications and Social Media Fellow, McDougal GSL
Background: McDougal Graduate Student Life (GSL) staff and fellows organize useful and interesting community building activities for GSAS students and their families. We share info about events and resources to prospective, new and current students through email, online platforms, and social media. Fellowship Description: In Spring 2021, work with McDougal GSL Director and GSAS staff to provide information online, via email, and assist with Virtual Visit day events for admitted/incoming GSAS Students. Curate posts, text and images to present attractive information to prospective and incoming GSAS PhD and masters students in virtual or digital formats. Use social media managers and online platforms like Yale Connect to communicate with new students – training provided. Mentoring and discussions of student and academic administration provided.
- Fellows must be currently matriculated, Yale doctoral students in years 1-6* of their studies during the fellowship.
- Term: Fellows work at a Yale host organization under the guidance of the host mentor for 5-7 hours per week over the course of 13-15 weeks during the 2021 Spring term.
- Stipend: Fellows receive $1500 stipend
* 7th-year students with COVID-related funding extensions from GSAS are eligible to apply.

December 2: Students will be required to submit a resume (not academic CV) and cover letter to the Yale Career Link by this date. Students may apply to more than one position but can only accept one position offer. Note that cover letters should be customized for each application.
