Communications at Havenly plays multiple crucial roles. We use our social media and communications infrastructure to increase sales, support our program, and reach refugee and immigrant women with crucial information. Communications at Havenly spans food blogging, information sharing, advocacy, and storytelling.
We are looking for a dedicated, creative and experienced communications intern to join our team this summer. You will have the following roles:
Monitor and evaluate social media;
Create content for newsletters, social media, and blog;
Expand PR efforts (contact local news outlets, podcasts, blogs, etc.);
Collect and present crucial information for our internal newsletter and Facebook page;
Tell the story of what we do in creative and new ways;
Improve Havenly’s searchability;
Collect data on the success of our communications with Sales and Marketing Intern.
Preference for applicants with:
BA, MA, or studying marketing, communications, English;
Experience working in marketing, PR or social media for a non-profit and/or social enterprise, for-profit, or start-up;
Fluency with social media software (Hootsuite, Facebook Ads, Google Business…);
Excellent communication and writing skills;
Bi or trilingual.
