Who we are
At Inpixon, we turn location data into actionable indoor intelligence. Our comprehensive intelligence platform with mapping, positioning, security, and analytics harnesses the future of the Internet of Things (IoT) now.
We are motivated by and focused on our vision to ?do good? with indoor data and build something that can quite literally change the world we interact with. We take pride in the way we positively impact the daily lives of our customers and continue to push the boundaries of how our platform can benefit others. Inpixon?s Indoor Intelligence solutions can:
Help people return to the office safely. Through a track and trace app, we can push out notifications to individuals, activate requests for deep sanitation, close off access to spaces, and push people into alternate work areas with greater distance between them.
Help staff and patients navigate hospitals easily. Through indoor mapping and awareness, we can direct patients from their car directly to their appointments, from registration to labs, and to waiting rooms. For nurses, we can tag equipment and supplies allowing quick access to other team members, visualizing asset movement and sending notifications.
Increase safety within schools. Through positioning and awareness, we can push out alerts in real time if an unregistered device enters the premises and fails to obtain clearance.
Manage cybersecurity. Through integration with Mobile Device Management, we can detect unauthorized devices, control applications in secured zones, and uphold best practices, security policies and compliance in government, pharmaceutical, and financial agencies managing a sensitive work environment.
Optimize resources allocation. Through any number of our product features, we manage, prioritize, and control the way spaces are used and accessed. Whether it?s staff allocation in retail space, managing temperature and electricity consumption in a workspace, we improve space utilization.
Inpixon Indoor Intelligence is continuously uncovering new ways to improve our lives.
Inpixon Indoor Intelligence ingests diverse data from IoT and third-party sensors designed to detect and position all active – cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ultra-wide Band devices using a proprietary computing process ensuring anonymity. Our platform provides a complete solution to locate, track, guide and monitor everything indoors along with the plug-in architecture and open APIs that enable interoperability and seamless integration with other systems increasing the reach, flexibility and power of indoor solutions.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Mapping Product, Inpixon is looking for a Java Developer to build out new product features and improve Inpixon?s Mapping API experience. Right now, we are working on a number of solutions that apply data analytics to guide the way people visualize and digitally interact with space. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the unknown and develop features in response to findings, using mathematics and geographic and geometric data to build solutions that enhance the way people experience indoor space. This is a chance for someone to join us in either our Palo Alto, CA or Toronto (Canada) locations or be part of our growing remote team.
Who you are
You are a Java Developer or Platform Engineer, most likely working at a startup delivering enterprise SaaS products – and you are excited to work at the cutting edge of IoT, AI, and Indoor Intelligence. A true innovator, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working on projects with multiple moving pieces, and you enjoy digging into problems that no one else has tried to solve yet. You balance inventive creativity with excellent coding skills using modern frameworks and taking of-the-moment approaches. You want to be mentored and be part of a company that supports the growth of its people. You are seeking an opportunity to develop new products that solve real-world problems with the latest technology and want to be part of the current movement focused on returning people to work in a smart, safe, and secure way.
What’s in it for you
An incredible suite of products. This is a chance to be part of a scaling company that provides intelligent solutions to building operators with tools to help people return to work safely through indoor navigation, analytics dashboards, cybersecurity tools, asset-tracking to geofencing. We have a robust platform that has defined features and functionality, based on three pillars of indoor intelligence: maps, analytics, and positioning. You will be at the forefront of an exponentially growing segment, building something that will change the world – and the way we interact with it.
A genuine career opportunity. We are at a turning point in how indoor space is experienced, and we are growing rapidly. You want to work on the last new frontier, creating products that respond to indoor mapping data format (IMDF) and enhance both how people navigate indoor spaces and who can safely and securely access those spaces. You will have the chance to grow into a Senior Engineer, Manager or Architect role.
A high-growth company. You want to work at the cutting edge of IoT. We are disciplined about pouring our R&D dollars into it and we recently raised $40 million. This is a chance to join a company that offers the best of both worlds: a funded, publicly-traded stable organization and a fast-paced, responsive and Agile scale up investing in research and the latest-in-everything.
A collaborative team and supportive leader. We want your ideas and your involvement. This is a place where you can make mistakes and learn from them. With a quarterly set of goals and continuous feedback from your manager, you will expand your skills and stay on a progressive career track. You will be part of a team that hosts regular ?show and share? opportunities where Engineers demonstrate what they are working on and talk about the impact it has on the evolution of the product or the business.
What you will focus on:
Creating never-before-seen product features. You will develop product features for our APIs for our multi-tenant SaaS environment, ensuring test & documentation coverage of your code. You will create stand-alone applications utilizing our APIs and demonstrating their capabilities.
Enhancing product knowledge. You will increase your understanding of Inpixon products and continuously grow your knowledge as a subject matter expert in particular areas, i.e., importing and exporting map data to give jurisdiction on the IMDF front.
Setting exceptional standards through collaboration. You will maintain integrity of the software by asking questions and making sure contributions to the API provide long-term sustainability. No one likes breaking changes in releases! You will hold yourself and your team accountable for reliable quality code that will be accessed by applications and developers all over the world.
What do you bring?
The technical expertise. You have a Computer Science or Engineering degree, or you may have earned your hands-on skills in an alternate way. You have 2+ years experience creating Java REST APIs utilizing frameworks like Jersey or Spring MVC, and ORMs like Hibernate or Spring Data. You have experience with modern Front End technologies such as NodeJS and an understanding of Cloud Platforms and Distributed architecture. An understanding of geographic or geometric data would be a plus.
An Agile team approach. You can work quickly and efficiently as part of an Agile team, able to build and ship high quality code. You use an open mind to establish groundwork for the tasks at hand. You have experience implementing or working within an Agile framework. You are committed to your team, have amazing communication skills and the ability to prioritize. You believe in writing good, readable, maintainable, well commented and long-lasting code.
A depth of practical knowledge. You understand how developers think and you use that knowledge to enhance our API Structure. You understand the expectations of next-generation app developers and you are always ready to brainstorm a solution that provides easy-to-use functionality for every kind of situation.
