Faculty and alumni photographer couple Lisa Kereszi and Benjamin Donaldson seek organized, responsible intern to assist in moving into, set up and start to use a newly-renovated studio space just 7 miles from campus.
Apprentice will assist in moving and organizing equipment, prints, negatives, books; filing, labeling and arranging negatives, paperwork and archival materials; scanning and/or photographing of negatives and prints, both new and from the archive; basic photo-editing in Photoshop and/or Lightroom; inkjet printing; assisting on set and/or on location; and assisting with promotion and preparation for exhibitions and publications.
Start date flexible. Apprentice should have own transportation or use Metro North or CT Transit.
Lisa Kereszi and Benjamin Donaldson both teach photography to undergraduates and graduate students at Yale. Lisa has been the DUS for the Art major since 2013. Ben works with an 8×10 view camera as well as digital means, and focuses on portraiture, and Lisa’s work focuses on family as well as on how fantasy is manifested in the built environment. Lisa has work in the collections of the Met and the Whitney, and shows at Yancey Richardson Gallery. The pair have a collaborative book due out later this year.
