The Summer Associate Graduate Intern Program is a 10+ week program beginning in June 2022 and ends in August 2022. The long-term intention for this program is to hire interns that prove their aptitude into full time roles. To qualify for an internship, applicants must be currently pursuing a graduate or PHD level degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date after the final day of the internship (December 2022 or later).

Policy Exceptions Review (Replacement for Exceptions Management in RSA Archer eGRC)
Navy Federal is working to align our processes with the Enterprise Risk Management Instruction. Risk and Control is our Second Line of Defense. In an effort to align with the simplification of technology at Navy Federal, we are migrating from RSA Archer eGRC to ServiceNow (SNOW) eGRC. The new process is designed to be nimbler and have less layers of approvals. The new process will include dashboards, reporting and analytics to enable Channel Partners to better monitor and manage their risk.
Data Transfer Authorization (2.1)
Navy Federal is working to streamline and accelerate the Data Transfer Authorization process. Business data stewards roles and actions will be clarified. Data Transfer Authorization roles will be mapped to systems in an effort to implement enterprise data governance.
Administer SharePoint to onboard new business data owners, business data stewards and business data systems.
Assist business data stewards prepare data transfer authorizations.
Provide resources to business data stewards on how to prepare a data dictionary. The data dictionary should classify data using public use, internal use only, confidential and restricted classifications.
Provide resources to business data stewards on how to prepare a data flow diagram and source to target map.
The intern will learn how information security standards apply to the business and be learn to articulate need for controls.
The intern will facilitate meetings and aid the business to leverage the dashboards to manage risk.
The summer intern should have an interest in process design, process improvement, Unified Modelng Language, Agile approach to project management and software development, Framework implementation, risk management, security control interpretation, control assessments, standards, and enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool operations (i.e. ServiceNow).
The intern will have an interest to learn how to assist Channel Partners to build dashboards in ServiceNow.
