The Summer Associate Graduate Intern Program is a 10+ week program beginning in June 2022 and ends in August 2022. The long-term intention for this program is to hire interns that prove their aptitude into full time roles. To qualify for an internship, applicants must be currently pursuing a graduate or PHD level degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date after the final day of the internship (December 2022 or later).

Job Description Overview:
DevOps Tool Integration & Administration is a team within Service Transition branch of NFCU’s Information Services Department (ISD). The Service Transition branch focuses upon the processes that comprise the Service Transition stage of the ITIL Service Lifecyle. We ensure that changes to IT services are appropriately managed, from the initial strategy, through design, development, testing and deployment.
DevOps Tool Integration & Administration team’s primary responsibility is to automate end-to-end application delivery solutions, manage the deployment of release packages, effectively, successfully and on schedule. The team support the tools for Version Control, Application Build, and Release Automation.
The team fulfills its responsibility introducing Deployment and Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) related processes, policies, and procedures. In addition, team members are assigned and participate on projects, assisting teams in the establishment of repositories and defining of the CICD pipelines.
Learn and understand the fundamentals of DevOps Tool Integration & Administration, CICD and supporting standard operating procedures (SOP).
Learn ServiceNow dashboard functions
Analyze ServiceNow dashboards to identify improvements
Gather and analyze application build and deployment data from the DevOps toolset
Collaborate with the team to design/develop metric enhancements
Build appropriate ServiceNow dashboards
Project 2:Survey customers to obtain feedback on DevOps automation including infrastructure and application pipeline for the internal ticketing process
Categorize improvement opportunities by automated and/or manual process
Project 3:Gather existing standard documentation under Information Security and Product Engineer and Delivery Services (PEDS) associated with Application Build and Deployment using Information Services Department (ISD) Services
Consolidate gathered information in appropriate repository
Review information with internal team members to identify process gaps
Present findings for next steps
Skills and Experience:
5+ years’ experience in Information Technology
Business Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter / self-directed
Understanding of general Information Technology concepts
Demonstrates sound technical skills
Strong in problem-solving, conceptual thinking and analytical capabilities
Technical Skills Preferred (as many of the following):Experience in installing, configuring, upgrading, and migrating specific servers, applications, and hardware, etc.
For Distributed applications, working knowledge of the following tools and languages: Source Code Management such as GitHub and Release Automation Tools such as Cloud Foundry. Building CICD such as Docker, Maven, Ant, Python and Shell Scripting. Artifact Repository Management tool such as Artifactory or Nexus Sonatype.
Experience in Azure Cloud computing service, Azure DevOps, and VMWare Tanzu.
Experience with IT Service Manager Systems such as ServiceNow.
Experience with Operating Systems such as Linux/Unix Command Line; Deployment Tool: IBM Rational Application Developer and Eclipse.
Experience with Databases such as DB2, Oracle and My SQL.
Understanding of systems architecture (Distributed and Mainframe).
Understanding of ITIL and other control frameworks.
