Dedicated to bridging the arts and society, NYFMF supports projects that spotlight the intersection of film, music, and culture. Through events, screenings, and performances, we aim to deepen public engagement with the arts and uplift creative communities.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and culturally engaged Events and Marketing Intern to assist in organizing live events, creating marketing materials, and supporting outreach. The intern will play a key liaison role—coordinating with artists and partners while gaining firsthand insight into the art and entertainment industries in NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize listening sessions, film screenings, and live performances
- Coordinate with past and future participating artists
- Attend and review gallery openings, shows, and receptions
- Assist in developing marketing materials including social media content, one-pagers, and artist profiles
- Contribute ideas to refine NYFMF’s website and digital presence
- Support outreach to artists, venues, and potential partners
- Provide general event and operational support
- Conduct research related to programming and outreach
Ideal Qualifications
- Deep appreciation for the visual and performing arts
- Strong understanding of American popular culture and contemporary trends
- Excellent communication and networking abilities
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Comfort and discretion using AI tools for drafting, research, and content
Preferred (not required):
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Webflow or similar website platforms
