Oracle’s Cloud Engineering Class Of Program is focused on building a community of highly motivated professionals of technology who are looking to learn the fundamentals of modern cloud computing and full stack development to help Oracle customers, across all industries in North America. Your Role: Are you interested in being part of a new startup organization inside Oracle North America? We are building the next generation Solution Engineering organization in our hub locations with emphasis on Austin. The mission of the organization is to build and engineer repeatable solutions for our customers that are going through digital transformation and moving workloads to the cloud. These workloads range from enterprise grade database workloads to cutting edge AI/ML workloads using Oracle Cloud’s portfolio of developer or cloud native services. Additional areas of interest include but are not limited to performance optimization, hybrid deployments, data services, analytics and more. Our mission is simple, we build new and innovative technology solutions for real world problems that our customers face. And so, we are seeking people who share that spirit of using technology to innovate and solve big problems.

The ideal candidate’s profile is one who has a blend of technical skills (scripting, object-oriented programming, UX design, analytics and data science) with a business minded approach. You are expected to work directly with some of the largest enterprise customers and cutting-edge startups, along with collaborating with members of the field, on key selling activities such as:

Performing proof of concepts, benchmarks or technical evals with clients
Building and publishing repeatable cloud solutions
Delivering hands-on technical workshops
Creating new industry-focused solutions using cloud native technologies
Your core responsibility is to help the customers understand their business problems, discover their environments, and then suggest technology solutions using Oracle Cloud services. You will have opportunities to engage with a variety of customers from all sectors and industries (e.g. retail, banking, healthcare, energy, automotive, government and many others). To remain at the cutting edge of innovation, the organization will provide significant investment in your professional development via training, mentoring and a social network of resources and thought leaders inside Oracle. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (GPA of 3.2 or greater) in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related degree
Strong software engineering and product management fundamentals
Experience with 2 or more object-oriented programming or scripting languages (Python, C#, Java, C++, etc.)
Confident communicator with ability to collaborate and present concepts clearly
Driven self-starter with strong organizational skills
Innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, open to new ideas and challenges
Strategic thinker with ability to build rapport easily with customers and colleagues
No visa sponsorship is available for this opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:

·         Hands on experience with Cloud Services (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

·         Hands on experience with Cloud Native technologies such as container deployments, streaming, monitoring

·         Hands on experience with data analytics and data science techniques

The Office of Career Strategy works with students and alums of Yale College and Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences as well as Yale postdoctoral scholars from all disciplines.
