Rochester, NY Internship or Part-Time Job Expires May 15, 2021

Our 501c3 nonprofit is launching a demonstration project in Rochester, NY, to show the value of activating community networks in service of lowering the carbon footprint of a city or county — while offering commercial property owners a “no brainer” deal to upgrade to clean energy systems. C-PACE financing (Property Assessed Clean Energy) has tremendous potential to retrofit existing buildings and build better new buildings — reducing carbon emissions and saving property owners money. It’s a win/win/win/win… for business through saving on energy costs, and for the public through job creation and reduced carbon emissions.

The duties may include some or all of the following, depending on the skillsets the intern has, and is interested in developing, including communicating with civic officials, contractors, commercial property owners and the general public via phone, zoom, webinar, video, social media, blogs, networking. Research and analysis of the market potential for Commercial PACE in Rochester and other cities. Documenting energy improvements. Measuring the impact of the program on jobs, costs savings, and reduction in carbon emissions. General & financial management from bookkeeping to budgeting, financial planning, and direct assistance to our Executive Director. Assisting in Marketing including upgrading websites, marketing materials, press releases, social media, planning and implementation of marketing campaigns to various target audiences, grant writing and researching grant opportunities at the federal level, creating templates and frameworks for sharing our methods and results across the country.
